The Cycle Community is a non-local collective dedicated to tending the Cycle of Transformation: a deeply transformative, in-person training offering the skills contemporary people need to embody their authentic selves as spiritual adults, in order to manifest their unique gifts and purpose in service to the Earth and all of life.

The Cycle Teachings provide a radical roadmap for breaking free from the extractive models of the dominant culture and stepping into a truly regenerative relationship with Life. Each community member works to embody these Teachings in their everyday life. The Teachings empower community members to offer their unique gifts in service to personal and collective healing, creating a more joyful and just future for the next generations.
The Cycle Community is led by six councils, each of which is responsible for a specific area of the community's operations. These councils work together to ensure that the community is functioning smoothly and that the needs of all members are being met. The leadership of the community is based on a shared leadership model, which means that all members have a voice in the decision-making process and are encouraged to contribute their ideas and perspectives.
Serving on councils provides many opportunities to develop skills, practice living the teachings, and move deeper into authenticity while supporting the community’s day-to-day functioning and continual evolution. Each member has a multitude of opportunities available to express their unique genius and co-create with spirit in service to a vision larger than our own, with ample space to mess up, make mistakes and be held in learning and growth.
What does it mean that the Cycle of Transformation is held by the Cycle Community?
When you enter the Cycle of Transformation, you're not just signing up to receive spiritual teachings - you're joining a community of people who are actively working to live in alignment with those teachings. The Cycle Teachings are not just something you learn, they are something you live.
The teachings are held by a community of volunteers, so the focus is not solely on profit or growth, but on embodying the principles of the teachings and engaging them to create change in our lives and in the world.
This community-based model allows for a deep level of engagement, as you are not only learning from a teacher or a book, but from teachers AND a group of people who are actively working to embody the teachings in their daily lives. It also allows for a sense of connection and support that is often lacking in many spiritual schools today.
Embodying the teachings together in community, we have space to take bold risks, receive support when we are challenged and experience the joy of knowing our presence and gifts matter as we share them in community.
Who is part of the Cycle Community?
Our community is comprised of those who participate in the Cycle of Transformation in conjunction with our teachers, Christina Lee Pratt and Langston Kahn. The community practices collective leadership by council and provides many opportunities to develop skills while supporting the community’s day-to-day functioning and continual evolution. Each member has a multitude of opportunities available to express their unique genius and co-create with spirit in service to a collective vision, with ample space to mess up, make mistakes and be held in learning and growth.
Our community values diversity and strives for equity and accessibility in a culture that often polices and marginalizes difference.
We recognize the harms done by colonialism, extraction, racism, sexism, transmisogyny, homophobia and other forms of violence, and the need as individuals and community to transform systemic injustice both through our own deep internal work and our actions in the world. We strive to embody anti-oppression and liberatory practices in all that we do and to actively center and celebrate accessibility and difference as part of our core values. We also value conflict and welcome opportunities for growth as we work to live into our values more and more effectively.
In the symbiotic container of the Community and the Teachings, the spirits of the Cycle Cosmology connect and co-create with the people; the people of the community connect and co-create with each other across the generations; and, in our fully realized vision, the whole community co-creates with the rest of the world and the web of life. We sustain a space for the Ancestors and the Descendants to dance with the Living, creating real medicine for the isolation, alienation and lost-ness of our time.
Together, we experience the transformations that can only happen in the crucible of true community and support each other in becoming the people who can embody the teachings in such a way that our every action creates needed change in the world.
